Mrigjaal: Sole grip
Inspired by the gripping behavior of animals and the intricate beauty of Indian jali patterns.
MrigJaal, a sole grip concept inspired by the gripping behavior of animals and the intricate beauty of Indian jali patterns. The display presents the journey from observation and ideation to material exploration and final design. Various swatches and prototypes highlight the study of shapes like hexagons for multi-directional grip and the adaptation of auxetic patterns for flexibility and stability. It blends functionality, cultural inspiration, and nature's intelligence to offer a new way of thinking about footwear grip.
