Surface design studio
The project Karigar Saanjh envisions a surface-design studio built on inter-craft collaboration, combining any two Indian crafts to create contemporary, culturally rooted designs while giving artisans greater visibility, voice, and livelihood opportunities. The surfaces are developed with a global market in mind. To begin, I explored a fusion of Sujani from Bihar and Pipli from Odisha.
